Here are some pictures of our trip to the Asheboro Zoo outside Greensboro, NC.  It was a very warm March day.  A lot of the animals were sleeping or in the indoor enclosures, but these are some of the animals that were out and about. The kids had a great time, although Avery was in the beginning stages of pink eye.  All the kiddos were troopers and I think it turned out to be a very enjoyable day.  

The end of 2011 began with a trip to the House of Bounce in Steamboat.  It is basically a small warehouse filled with inflatable bouncy houses.  The kids LOVED it!  We went with our neighbors, The Einfelds: Stephanie, Carter, and Baby Jake.  There was a super tall slide that Avery went down twice.  I am surprised she went down at all.  But as you can see from her face, she was slightly terrified.  They also had a smaller kids section with a bouncy farm house and small ride-ons.  It was a good way to end the year.  Check out the pictures.  

Christmas 2011

We had a very eventful Christmas this year.  The last one before we head to Australia for the next couple of years.  My family visited us during the holidays here in Steamboat Springs.  It was a full house, but quite fun.  It started with Evan's Christmas Pageant.  We missed most of it because we were picking up Gigi and the Gang from the airport, but made it in time to watch Evan and his class sing "We Wish You a Merry Christmas".  It was truly precious!  Then all the little one's got to sit on Santa's lap.  Even Connor got in on the action.  The whole week was filled with events like dog sledding (for the boys), sleigh riding (for everyone on Christmas Eve), Massages (for the girls....oh yeah), Shopping at the Outlets in Silverthorne, skiing (just Jaime and myself...ouch), oh yeah and Christmas (of course).  The week was packed with events and went by way to quickly.  Here are some pictures from our time together.  Enjoy.  I know I sure did!

Happy Thanksgiving!!!

Happy Thanksgiving!  This was another successful year.  Jason was up early preparing for Thanksgiving Dinner.  It was very tasty.  Two thumbs up Dad!  The kids were in a good humor, you never really know with them.  They even let me take a couple of pictures!  Although we couldn't be with the extended family, I thoroughly enjoyed my time with my three favorite people.  And that is what I am thankful for this year!

Happy Halloween

Happy Halloween everyone! We went trick-or-treating around the neighborhood this evening. It was a bit chilly as the sun started to set, so we didn't stay out very long. But long enough to collect some candy. I think the kids had a great time. Just in case you weren't sure Evan was the UPS man (because living in the middle of nowhere you do a lot of on-line shopping) and Avery was a pink mon-stay (monster).
