Happy 4th of July!

We had a lovely, hot 4th of July. We went to Jason's company 4th of July Picnic in a town called Craig. It is about an hour away from where we live. I think the kids had a blast. It was a carnival or fair type theme. There was barbecue, cotton candy, snow cones and inflatable fun. Evan really enjoyed the giant inflatable slide and the horsies. We then came back home to an afternoon thunderstorm that lasted a couple of hours. At least it cooled things off for a minute. We plan to go to the fireworks tonight in Steamboat although it doesn't start until 9. Hope everyone enjoyed their weekend. You know how I am completely unable to edit these pictures to just one or two....so here are a thousand. Enjoy!

Fabulous Weekend

We had a fairly fabulous weekend. I guess I should say a fairly fabulous Saturday. Jason had to work most of Sunday so that stinks. But the weather was great on Saturday, probably around 75-80 degrees. And it didn't even rain which is quite different from every other day around here. We usually get at least one rain shower a day. Jason and I were working on our back "yard" doing a little landscaping. It is another elaborate Jason plan that involves water drainage and rocks. Yikes. Other than that we had a little ice cream on the deck and enjoyed the weather. Here are some pictures. Evan got his hair cut. I don't enjoy the look of it but it will grow out quickly. I think it is because he looks so grown up. He is still my baby!

Happy Father's Day!

We had a lovely Father's Day. Jason had to work until about noon, but then he was ours after that. I make it sound like we did lots of exciting things. Wrong. We finally cleaned up the garage....at least enough so that I could get my car in it. That was a huge accomplishment. After that, Evan took a nap while Baby Girl got up for a little lunch. Jason started to work on the backyard doing a little landscaping. He didn't get very far before he and Evan (who was up from his nap by then) had to come inside for a little dinner. The day went by very quickly without too many blow ups. Sounds like a good day in my book!
P.S. Happy Father's Day to all the dads out there!

Father's Day

Jason's family tries to all get together every Father's Day. Unfortunately with our recent move and Jason having to work this weekend, we weren't able to meet up with everyone in Tazewell, VA. Even though we weren't there in person, we were there in spirit. As you can see there is definitely a talented artist in the family. I have a feeling it was the artwork of either Aunt Joy or Aunt Joshlyn. I believe the order of everyone from left to right is: Grandma Joyce, Uncle Larry, Aunt Connie, Wendell, Sarah, Baby Reagan, Uncle Nathan, The Questionmarks (Us), Aunt Joshlyn, Uncle Bill, Cousin Gracie, Uncle Olaf, Aunt Joy, Grandma Betty, Steffony and her sons Josh and Alex. What a gathering. It was too bad we couldn't make it. Just in case you were wondering, the folks in the picture are Jason's siblings Nathan, Steffony and Sarah.

The Babes

So baby girl went to the new doctor today for her six month check up. Everything went well until the shots. They seemed to hurt more this time than any other. She wailed for a while. Otherwise, she is growing like a weed. Not some much out but up. She weighs 14 lbs. 6 oz., which puts her just in the 13th percentile. She was 27 in. long which now puts her in the 85th percentile and her head was 17 1/2 in., so that now puts her head circumference in the 90th percentile. She is staying on her growth curves so that is nice. I suppose she will just have to be happy with tall and skinny....with a huge head! Everything else is going well. Still unpacking. I will hopefully post pictures when the house is picture worthy. I posted some pictures of Evan and Avery taken today. Avery loves the camera but it seems I burned Evan out on pictures because now it is like pulling teeth to get a good picture out of him! oh well.

A bit of nature

So these pictures turned out reallllllly blurry but I thought I would show you what went running through our backyard the other evening. In case you can't tell (clearly the camera was on the wrong setting)....it is a fox. And then this morning on the way to baby girl's doctors appointment, we saw a bald eagle flying over the lake near our house! Crazy nature.
