Today Gigi, JJ, myself and the kiddos ventured out to Roanoke to visit the Virginia Museum of Transportation. Evan is in love with trains so this was right up his alley! Here are some pictures from our day.

Happy Pre-Birthday Evan!

While we were in VA, GiGi, Diddy and Auntie JJ threw Evan a Pre-Birthday Party. His birthday isn't until April 6 but of course we had to celebrate with the VA family! He loved all his presents which included Hot Wheels and Thomas the Train. I think you can see by the look on his face....he loved everything!

Amazement Square

While trying to figure out things to keep the kiddos entertained, GiGi found a place in Lynchburg called Amazement Square. It was a kid oriented play place that let them explore how things worked. They had a farm where you could "milk" a cow, a heart you could walk through to learn how it works, and a replica of the James River with boats and dams to play with. It was a lot of fun! Freezing February

It hasn't been a super exciting winter so far unless you love freezing temperatures and snow. I don't mind it a little bit but every week is a bit much even for me. We have actually had a stretch of about 4 or 5 days with temps above 32 degrees so that is something different. Especially considering we had a couple days where the actual air temp was -40 degrees (and that is without the windchill factored in!) On one of the few "nice" days we have had, I bundled up the kidos and we headed outside to play. Here are some pictures from our adventure.

Preparing for the Holidays

Here are some pictures of the boys in the neighborhood decorating our house for the holidays. Only Jason Davis would bring home a bucket truck to put up our icicle lights. I think the final product was worth the effort. There is also a picture of the house with the lights in our latest snow storm that dumped a foot of snow in Oak Creek. Very beautiful right before Christmas!
