Happy Mother's Day

I had a wonderful Mother's Day yesterday. I wish Jason had been here to share in the fun and although he was missed, we still had a blast anyway. Diddy had a race a VIR (Virginia International Raceway) near Danville, VA. His sister, brother-in-law and father came up from NC to see him race along with GiGi, Auntie JJ and the Davis Gang. We arrived just in time to see him qualify on the pole position for his class of car. However, when it came to the race a crazy driver several cars back floored it, ran into the grass, lost control because he was going too fast and came back onto the track just in time to smack right into Diddy's car spinning him all around the track into other cars and the barrier. Poor guy didn't even get to race the first lap. I have put some pictures up of our day. It was a beautiful day, not too hot, not too cold. Evan had a blast. He even helped Diddy with his tire. It was SOOOOO CUTE! Both children were completely exhausted from all the fun and slept very well last night. I know I have only had two of them, but this was the best Mother's Day yet!

A Little Fun In The Sun

The kids and I went with Auntie JJ to the lake today. We had to cut the day short because of the severe thunderstorm that rolled through. But we had a blast anyway. We couldn't keep Evan out of the water. Avery was pretty much oblivious to the whole thing. Here are some pictures from our adventure. Man, those are some good lookin' kids!

Sister is making some very funny noises these days. I just had to capture it on video. In the first video she is do some "talking". Of course Evan being the great big brother that he is, was helping me take the video. He did a great job, however that little dude gets very side tracked sometimes. You will hear him trying to get sister's attention while Elmo is on Sesame Street. He ends up singing along with Elmo and forgetting all about sister. I mean which is more important? Duh mom, Elmo! Too funny.

Sister's New Suit

Auntie JJ got Avery a new bathing suit to wear to the lake. It is too bad the weather is not cooperating. However, I think the suit looks beautiful on the little girl anyway. And of course Evan couldn't resist getting his picture taken too! I know I am biased, but man those are some good lookin' kids! If only they weren't so rotten.

On The Move

Bye Bye Old House! We have moved out of our old house in Newburgh, Indiana and will shortly move into our new house outside of Steamboat Springs, Colorado. In the mean time, Evan, Avery and I are hanging out with the family in Virginia. Our trek to Colorado should take 3 days from here (if we don't kill each other first!) Pray for us!

Happy Easter!

We had a wonderful Easter Sunday! We dyed Easter eggs, had an Easter egg hunt, and a delicious Easter lunch/dinner. The Easter bunny left the kids a basket with some goodies in them. Here are some pictures from our day!

Happy Birthday Baby Boy!

All in all I think Evan had a fabulous 2nd Birthday. He got lots of wonderful presents....thank you everyone! Some presents seen here include a helmet to wear when he rides his new Big Wheel (That is for you Captain Safety), Elmo Books, SpongeBob DVDs, and a chair to sit in to read/watch them. The chair posed no threat to Evan, but we thought we might try the helmet on before we got on the Big Wheel. I think the little man looks pretty good, and safe! Also, as I am sure you can see, we had cupcakes again this year. They were yellow cake with chocolate icing. We decided to disrobe the little fella from the waist up so that it would not end up all over his shirt. Clearly that was a good idea. I still can't believe that dude is two. Next he will be asking me for the car keys!

Happy Birthday Eve!

We celebrated Evan's 2nd Birthday on Sunday. We went down to the bridge and fed the ducks and carp. Evan seemed to have a blast. We even had a little ice cream. MMMMMmmmmm. Evan got his own kiddie cup since it was his birthday. I am surprised he was able to sleep at all last night considering how much sugar that boy ate. But that is okay....you get a free pass on your birthday!

Yea Auntie JJ

We made it in from Indiana last night and had a good nights sleep. We were able to play a little bit today. Avery and Evan kept up pretty well. Actually, I think I need a nap more than they do. Even a little time out will do. Avery got a little play time in with Auntie JJ. Here are a few pictures. What a lucky little girl!

Helen Reagan Clark

Jason's sister Sarah and brother-in-law Wendell had a baby girl on March 19. Her name is Helen Reagan Clark and she is precious as she can be. She and Avery are exactly 4 months apart. They finally got to meet each other yesterday on our way into Virginia for Evan's 2nd Birthday. I believe they became fast friends by the way the were holding hands (I did not pose them that way!). It looks like they are giving Evan a run for his money on the cuteness scale!

Sister Laughs!?

Daddy is back from Colorado and just couldn't wait to play with Baby Girl. She seemed to have a good time with Daddy and we even got a little chuckle out of her! I think she is just figuring out how this whole laughing thing works.

TWO!

Evan is super excited to turn two. Whenever I ask him how old he is going to be, this is how he responds! I can't believe our little man is growing up so quickly.
